At AquaMissions, we are committed to saving and changing lives through introductory water experiences, water safety education, and swim lessons. Drowning is a leading cause of accidental death worldwide, and it's a tragedy that can be prevented. With your support, we can make a real difference in our communities and address this long-neglected public health crisis.
Why Your Donation Matters
The need is urgent! The 4th Grade Learn to Swim program with Cleveland Schools commences in September 2024, and your donation is needed to make it possible. The cost of one class’s equipment and instruction is $5,000, and we are prepared to serve 2,500 scholars in 2024-2025!
Your Contribution in Action
$50: Funds a child’s swimsuit and swimcap for school-based swim lessons. Many children do not own a swimsuit, nor have they ever swum in swimming pool.
$150: Provides bus transportation to a swimming pool for a class of 30. Inequitable access to swimming resources is one reason Black and Brown youth are at an eightfold greater risk of drowning.
$750: Provides bus transportation for one class’s 4-week swimming program, including a fifth trip to tour the facility. School-based programming ensures equitable and inclusive access to lifesaving swim instruction and water safety education.
$1,500: Outfits a class of 30 in swimsuits and swimming caps, removing another barrier to access.
$5,000: Funds one class’s 8-week swimming program, equipping 25-30 students with a basic life skill and giving them the ability to safely enjoy water sports and activities for a lifetime.
